In honor of Earth day, I cordially invite you to preview these great wedding invitations. They are not only gorgeous but eco-friendly...what could be better.
There are certain cultural traditions that are hard to let go of, especially when it comes to weddings and the invitation is one of them. No matter how much of an eco-chick you are, sending out wedding invites via email just won't cut it. Fortunately, more and more, environmentally conscious printers and artisans are creating some gorgeous options (that are tasteful enough so they won’t upset your future mother-in-law).
Thankfully this wonderful shop - Bella Figura, an artisan letterpress shop has stepped up to make sustainable event planning a bit easier and a whole lot of fun.
Debbie Urbanski and Harold Kyle are the masterminds ( and cute couple) behind this beautiful work. The Bella Figura shop has produced many fabulous invitations, announcements, and collateral pieces. Their work has been featured in Modern Bride, Martha Stewart Weddings, and Bride’s magazines, and some of their clients include Barnes and Noble, Little, Brown and Company Publishers and NBC.
Your right, most wedding occassions call for printed, hang on the fridge invitations. Email invitations when done right can be very classy and make a great supplement to traditional. Not everyone needs a paper invite. Really green couples will send paper invites on eco friendly paper and printing to everyone who can actually attend, and then send an email invitation or announcement to those friends out of the country or are not really invited, but still need to know. You should check out www.myinvitationlink.com and the blog about how to use digital evites as a supplement to paper invites. http://www.myinvitationlink.com/blog/2009/04/using-digital-evites-to-supplement-your-wedding-invitations/
