Host a Chic Flick Movie Party

 

Invite your best gal pals to see a good ole fashioned chic flick.  Then make a night of it with cocktails and conversation at your house.

First set the date and time.  Plan to do most of the socializing for after the movie so everyone can relax and discuss the film without rushing out plus guests will understand certain references and some of your choices in food and decor.

Serve movie inspired signature cocktails.  For instance, if the movie takes place in NYC serve New York inspired snacks and if they show a specific restaurant try to recreate some of the items on the menu.  Even better if the movie takes place in a certain time period or country, you can delight your guests with various popular foods from that particular era or area. 

Try to decorate in the same mood as the movie.  If the movie takes place near the ocean than keep your decor beachy and casual and if it takes place in the city keep it chic and hip.  Have fun with this one.

I am going to a 40th birthday party in a couple of weeks and the theme is "The Hangover" so everyone has to come in outfits/costumes from the movie...so fun.  I think this will be hysterical. 

Add some friendly fun and games.  You can choose a party activity that best suits your group.  I personally love the idea of playing a little post-movie trivia.  You can have questions already pre-written or you can take turns asking questions about the movie and award a small prize to the girl who remembers the most! 

This party is a great excuse to get the girl's together and a fun way to hang out without all the costs or hassle of a Girl's Night out on the town.  I am always looking for an excuse to gather my best gal pals.
