OK, it's been a few weeks since I have posted a Friday cocktail but I felt inspired today and found something interesting that I actually wanted to share with you. So, it looks like I am going to be the master mixologist at my Mom'sThanksgiving Dinner Party this year. Yeah! Something new to do other then making the candied yams. Hope you enjoy.
Ingredients:
•1 1/2 oz rye whiskey
•1 1/2 oz Modern Spirits Pumpkin Pie Vodka or Hiram Walker Pumpkin Spice Liqueur
•1/2 oz triple sec
•1/4 oz anise liqueur
•1 egg white
•3 dashes Angostura aromatic bitters
•grated nutmeg for garnish (optional)
Directions:
1.Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
2.Shake vigorously (to ensure the egg is properly mixed)
3.Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
4.Sprinkle grated nutmeg on top if desired
I really enjoy this pumpkin spice martini in the fall and around the holidays. I usually add a little more vodka. I can't wait to try caramel Irish creme with this!
