I can hardly believe that Halloween is in 2 days...I am like a kid in a candy shop (or Trick or Treating) I am so excited. So, did you decide if you were going to have a Halloween Party yet? I think I may have already told you that we decided to have a few friends over for cocktails and appies tomorrow night so I have decided to make-up a batch of Goblin Mimosa's to serve my ghoulish guests. I love the presentation of these fa-boo-lous drinks...so festive!
I feel like it's been days since I have written a blog...I guess that's because it has been days. Anyways, I was a little pre-occupied with my Access Hollywood Live Appearance on Monday (hopefully I will have a clip to share with you tomorrow) but now I feel like I can breathe again so I am back and ready to focus. Oh and I can hardly believe that Halloween is this weekend...Yikes!! I love it! So, do you have a Big Halloween Party planned for the weekend? I think I am going with a Ghoulish Dinner Party...What do you think about these fun ideas for my party?

How cute are these little snack cups?! Just cut out fun felt faces and stick them on a paper cup. To make the crossbones attach four punched hearts to the ends of two strips of white card stock. Crisscross the strips of card stock and adhere them to the back of the cup. Fill the cups up with whatever snack treat you want.
How about having a Pumpkin Painting Contest this year instead of a costume contest or in lieu of a pumpkin carving party. I am not a carver so I always love the idea of painting pumpkins...so spooktacular!
I love Halloween...there are just so many great ideas. I think what I love most is that anything goes. You can go scary or whimsical or glamorous or whatever you are in the mood for. I found a few simple DIY ideas on Country Living except for the black flowers (that one is mine). Hope you enjoy.
Turn orange tissue-paper balls (pictured above) or orange paper lanterns into proper Halloween pumpkins. Simply cut facial features and stems from construction paper and apply to the balls with glue dots.
For a fa-boo-lous floral arrangement spray paint silk flowers black; you can even add a little bling just by glittering them while the paint is drying.
To call forth this gathering, use glue dots to stick construction-paper eyes and mouths onto white tissue-paper bells (you can get them at any wedding supply store), then drape them with cheesecloth. Boo!
Make this black wreath by using crepe tissue paper. Click here for instructional video.
Let the cocktails and and decor take center stage by keeping your party simple: serve up simple food like mini quiches and a mixed green salad in black take-out boxes. For a sweet something, continue your cocktail theme by using champagne or martini glasses to hold caramel corn, popcorn or Halloween candy.
Make killer signature cocktails like black widow martinis, ginger jack-o-lanterns or candy corn cordials.
Decorate with pumpkins...spray paint them with a high gloss paint (black or white) and carve them up and set them all around the house to light the way to different rooms. Candlelight is the key to creating the perfect spellbinding ambience. You can also use large hallowed out pumpkins to serve beverages and food (pumpkin soup or chips and dip)...be sure and put a bowl inside of the pumpkin - don't just put your drinks or food in the pumpkin without having some kind of a liner/bowl. Don't forget to add the dry ice to bowls for an extra eerie effect. (Warning: do not put dry ice in drinks...it is harmful!)
