I think this is such a great idea for a bride that is looking for some inexpensive, stylish table centerpieces. These well shred centerpieces are very chic and perfect for a wedding, bridal shower, baby shower or dinner party. You can make these whimsical rumpled-chic topiaries with basic printing paper (or colored paper).
Shred a hefty amount of paper in colors you like, or pick-up some preshedded paper from a craft store. Drizzle glue on one side of a styrofoam ball and roll it in a pile of the cuttings, pressing lightly to adhere (this is one project that the kids can even help with). Fill in any bare spots and repeat on the other sides. Cover as many foam balls as you will need for your table. Let them dry then pile them on top of one another with dowels (or chopsticks) and place in flowerpots or cluster in the center of the table. So cute and so easy to make.
Any day, any party, any centerpiece...these DIY tabletoppers really will dress up your get-together, no matter what the occassion.
Idea comes from star stylist and interior designer Robert Verdi featured in Everyday with Rachael Ray.

Love this idea! I'm thinking of doing a Sesame Street theme for my son's first birthday, and I could use this idea to make character faces with colored paper, and glue eyes and everything else on!
