Fall Wedding Ideas

 

If you are planning a fall themed wedding and are looking for some "last minute" ideas check out a few of these fun suggestions.

I love fall...it really is one of my most favorite times of the year. I always wanted a fall wedding but since we got married in Cabo San Lucas we had to do it before hurricane season (I think that is the only thing I am still bitter about...jk!)  This is probably why I am always trying to talk my friends into getting married in autumn. I love all of the colors of the season.  For the centerpieces you can mix hypericum berries, oak leaves, poppies, and other woodsy finds -- don't forget to add lanterns and mini gourds to your tables.

Think of using one item in multiple ways...like a candy apple.  You can serve up a signature cocktail like Caramel Appletinis!  Spike with vodka and top with chocolate syrup, serve these during dessert to end the night on a seasonally sweet note. You can also send guests home with caramel apples or add their names and table numbers to each apple so they double as escort cards.  Such a "sweet" idea.

Serve tomato soup shooters paired with mini grilled cheese sandwiches...perfect for the fall and De-lic-ious! To create a fall, rustic ambience arrange food on burlap-covered tables and label dishes with rustic wooden signs.

Hand-carved pumpkins with the couple's monogram, “Mr. and Mrs. or ” “I Do” are a great way to decorate the reception space. In addition, this couple also arranged peanut brittle around the pumpkins to add to the seasonal look.

Use colorful sodas like these bright bottles of Jones Orange Creme Soda and Jones Root Beer to add color to your fall reception decor.  Add personalized labels for additional personal touch.

The three-tiered wedding cake was decorated with twigs and berries and displayed on a custom-made cake stand, which had been carved by a family friend. 

Think outside of the box when it comes to favors and give something to guests that has meaning to you; one couple gave out out packets of nut butter to guests since the best man owned his own all-natural nut butter company.
