It's Wedding Wednesday and today's question was sent into to us by Andrea from right here in good ole Southern California; Andrea wants to know how many bridesmaids she should have in her wedding party?
Andrea I think this is such a great question. I think a lot of brides struggle withthis one. I know I had a tough time with this one and ultimately chose none but I think the correct answer depends on the size of the wedding you are having...the general rule of thumb is one bridesmaid for every 35 to 50 guests but let's be honest this is not written in stone somewhere that this is the way it must be or else. So, if you have sisters and a very close group of sorority sisters, childhood friends, etc...than feel free to include them all. Once you have decided who you would like to join you at the altar for this very special occasion call them individually to ask them if they would like to participate then plan a special lunch to explain to them what you are thinking for the wedding planning. You will want to let them know what your expectations are of them, any upcoming important events and then last but not least what you are thinking for dresses...please get their ideas on what they might like to wear and what fit would work best for everyone's body type. Ultimately you will make the final decision but I think it's nice to include them in this decision process after all no one wants to wear a dress they hate and you definitely want them to enjoy the day just as much as you. It is a celebration!! Warmest Wishes to you on your upcoming nuptials.
