I would say I can't believe it's finally Friday but I feel like this week just flew by...it's crazy. I am still wondering where the year went...is it really November? Anyway, I don't know about you but I am in the mood for something warm and cozy today and I think Mulled Cider is just the thing.
For all of you fall brides out there who are finalizing the last minute details of your wedding, this is a great signature drink idea. Cheers!
Oh and if you are looking for a fun favors for guests, give out single-serving bags of hot apple cider mix decorated with ribbons and cinnamon sticks. Add a small sticker with the wedding date or monogram; On the reverse side put the directions for making the cider. This is a great personal touch for your favors.
Ingredients:
1 orange, washed
4 cups (1 quart) apple juice or cranberry juice cocktail
2 cinnamon sticks
4 whole cloves
Directions:
Peel the orange by slicing into strips. Combine your juice of choice, orange peel, cinnamon sticks and cloves in a saucepan. Place the saucepan over medium heat and warm the juice until tiny bubbles appear around the edges of the pan. Simmer gently for 20 minutes, reducing the heat as needed to keep the juice from boiling. Remove the pan from the heat. Pour into mugs and serve immediately.
I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Great blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
